Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 September 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how NGBoom, available at ngboom.ng, handles personal data when someone reads the site, follows a link or contacts the site administrator. NGBoom publishes informational betting and casino guides for Nigeria. It is not a betting operator and does not process player deposits, wagers or withdrawals.

Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to [email protected]. A request should identify the relevant interaction, date and email address without including a casino password, payment PIN, one-time code, full card number or unnecessary identity document.

Information collected automatically

A web server normally receives an IP address, browser type, device information, requested page, referring page, date, time and technical response data. These records allow the host to deliver pages, detect attacks, investigate errors and maintain availability. Security and caching systems may process the same technical request.

NGBoom does not currently provide public user registration, public comments or a newsletter form. If one of those features is introduced, the policy will be updated before collecting the related account, comment or subscription data.

Information provided voluntarily

When a visitor emails [email protected], the message can contain a name, email address, subject, attachments and any details the sender chooses to provide. This information is used to read the request, verify context, send a reply and maintain a reasonable record of the outcome.

Send the minimum information required. For an editorial correction, identify the NGBoom URL and the exact statement. For a privacy request, identify the relevant interaction. Do not send betting-account credentials, financial secrets or copies of identity documents unless specifically required through a secure process.

Purposes and lawful bases

Personal data may be processed to deliver and secure the website, answer a requested communication and maintain accurate content. It may also be processed to meet a legal obligation, establish or respond to claims and improve the service through appropriately controlled measurement.

The applicable basis depends on the activity. It may include performing a requested service, legitimate interests in operating and protecting an informational website, consent for optional technologies, or compliance with an obligation. Consent can be withdrawn for future optional processing without changing processing that was valid before withdrawal.

Cookies and similar technologies

WordPress and the hosting stack may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage for security, session management and saved preferences. Caching can store a prepared public copy of a page without creating a personal visitor profile. Optional analytics or advertising technology should not run before the required choice is available.

Browser controls can remove or block cookies. Blocking a necessary cookie may affect login or preference features, while the public articles should remain readable. The separate Cookie Policy explains cookie categories and how to review them.

Analytics and performance measurement

NGBoom may measure page performance, broken links and aggregated usage to improve navigation and content. When a third-party analytics service is active, it can receive device, page and approximate location information according to its configuration. Optional measurement should respect the visitor’s consent choice where required.

Aggregated statistics that no longer identify a person may be retained for trend comparison. NGBoom does not sell a visitor’s contact message or technical log as a personal-data list.

External betting and casino links

An article may link to an operator, game provider, payment service or support organisation. Following that link leaves NGBoom. The destination can collect its own registration, payment, device and activity data under its own privacy notice.

NGBoom cannot see a password, deposit or wager entered on an operator’s website merely because the visit began from an article. Check the destination address and privacy notice before creating an account or providing financial information.

Affiliate disclosure and tracking

Some outbound links may contain an affiliate identifier. If a visitor follows such a link and later registers or completes a qualifying action, the operator may attribute that action to NGBoom. The operator controls its own account data; NGBoom may receive a report or commission that uses a reference rather than the visitor’s casino password or full payment details.

Editorial conclusions are intended to remain separate from compensation. An affiliate relationship does not guarantee that an operator is appropriate for every visitor, and it does not change the need to read the destination’s terms and privacy notice.

Sharing with service providers

Personal data can be handled by providers that host, secure, cache, back up or maintain the site, or deliver administrator email. They receive only the access reasonably needed for their service and may process data under their own security and contractual responsibilities.

Information may also be disclosed when required by a valid legal process, to protect the site or another person from harm, or during a genuine transfer of the website. NGBoom does not publish a private contact message without permission unless disclosure is required.

International processing

Hosting, email, security or analytics providers may operate outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards should be used in line with applicable data-protection requirements. A third-party betting operator can make its own international transfers after a visitor leaves NGBoom.

Data retention

NGBoom keeps personal data only for the period reasonably needed for the stated purpose, security, dispute handling and applicable record obligations. Different data has different lifetimes. A short-lived technical log does not need the same retention as an unresolved privacy request.

When the purpose and required period end, data should be deleted, anonymised or securely isolated from routine use. Backups may retain an encrypted copy until their normal rotation removes it.

Security

NGBoom uses WordPress access controls, HTTPS, updates, caching, backups and security practices intended to reduce unauthorised access, alteration and loss. No internet service can promise absolute security. Visitors should also keep browsers updated and avoid sending secrets by ordinary email.

Children’s privacy

NGBoom content concerns gambling and is intended for adults. The site does not knowingly seek personal data from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information can contact [email protected] and identify the relevant message so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Privacy rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, a person may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or information about processing. A person may also withdraw consent for future optional processing and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent authority.

  • Write to [email protected] from the relevant email address where possible.
  • State the right being exercised and the NGBoom interaction involved.
  • Do not include passwords, PINs or full payment details.
  • Allow reasonable identity checks that are proportionate to the request.
  • NGBoom will respond within the period required by applicable law or explain a permitted delay.
  • Some information may be retained when a legal obligation or valid claim requires it.

Nigeria Data Protection Act and complaints

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 establishes rules for processing personal data and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. A person who believes a privacy concern has not been resolved can contact NGBoom first and may also use the complaint information published by the Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the site adds a form, analytics service, advertising partner, account feature or different hosting arrangement, or when applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated. A material change may also be highlighted on the site.
